Books that inspired my lifestyle:

Making a Living Without a Job, revised edition: Winning Ways for Creating Work That You Love
by Barbara Winter – this one started it all.  I saw BW and her book in a Boston Adult Ed catalog, took her class, and the rest is history.

The Renaissance Soul: Life Design for People with Too Many Passions to Pick Just One
by Margaret Lobenstine – My mother was reading the back of this book when my brother walked in the room.  “Whatcha reading?” he asked her.  “Someone wrote a book all about Becky,” she replied, handing him the book.  He read it and said, “Oh my God.  It is all about Becky!”   This one let me know that I’m not alone in not ever wanting to pick just one thing to do for the rest of my life.

Refuse to Choose!: A Revolutionary Program for Doing Everything That You Love
by Barbara Sher – I think the title explains it all.

I read No Impact Man after reading your blog for a few months. It was a great read and has made a modest impact on my life. I’m a resident at a hospital and used to use one tea cup a day with utensils for breakfast. Now I bring my own Kleen Kanteen cup and re-use my spoon everyday. These darn plastic spoons they provide at the hospital are so strong sometimes I think they are stronger than metal. I can’t believe we through these tough items away everyday. Thank you for your suggestions and for an interesting blog. Keep it up!!!

    1. Am happy to see the book inspired you to make some changes. I think it also opens our eyes – increases our awareness – and you start to notice other ways you can change. Thanks for reading:)
